Position Summary

Responsible for costing, estimating, planning and overseeing multiple projects from initiation and development to execution and follow-up, and ensuring best value is obtained for the successful project management

Primary Duties

  1. Set project goals and deliverables based on client need, client long term strategy, legislation, best practice and efficient business solutions
  2. Ensure budgeting and costing, estimating and planning of project
  3. Ensure project meets milestones within timeframes, quality, cost requirements
  4. Manage projects to ensure client value, client retention, contained risk and project profitability
  5. Review projects and develop new strategies based on previous experience
  6. Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  7. Business development

Key Skills and Experience

  1. Grade 12
  2. Minimum qualification: Diploma in Project Management or similar environment
  3. At least 3-5 years’ experience in working in the built environment related projects
  4. Experience in the implementation of labour – intensive and job creation projects will be an added advantage.
  5. Computer literate
  6. A fair knowledge of the Government sector and applicable EPWP legislations.
  7. Valid code 08 driver’s license
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  2. Use judgement and make appropriate decisions
  3. Work to deadlines
  4. Exercise good time management and prioritise workloads whilst under pressure
  5. Good telephone manner
